 "Poor quality photos" 2009-07-13
By Alex Nagygeller (usa)
I have been very disastisfied with this camera when taking pictures indoors even with sufficient lighting and using the flash from any distance further than 4 feet. The picture comes out very dark and grainy, Only photos that come out decent are those taken outdoors or fron under 4 feet indoors with the flash, For the price I expected much more.

"See the Proof in the pudding! Underwater Video Sample." 2009-07-13

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1K0L5RDCYKICO Just returning from a great fishing trip where this little camera simply surpassed all expectations. Here is the amazing footage we shot with this great little camera! I guess the only thing I can think of improving would be the way that annoying little droplet of water gathers on the bottom of the lens! Nothing a quick wipe or blow can't handle.

For the price, this is an unbelievable camera. I am very satisfied with this product.

"Don't buy this as your primary camera!!" 2009-07-05
By R. Vidal III
First of all let me start by saying that I took less than 30 pictures with this camera before I came to the conclusion that I made the WRONG choice in buying this camera (I subsequently sent it back). In my heart I really really wanted this to be the camera I would use for many years to come. With a brand like Pentax I knew that it came from a good pedigree of quality optics and preformance, but as most of reviews for this camera claim the amount of "noise" in taking low light pictures is atrocious!!! The six year old 3.1 megapixel Sony Cybershot I was trying to replace took better quality shots (at least in low light). I will say that the photos taken during the day and in very bright conditions were phenomenal. They were nice and crisp, with great color saturation. Basiclly I should have listened to to the countless reviews stating this problem but I guess I wanted to form my own opinion. Buy this camera for it's intended purpouse of outdoor activities and for use in and around the pool or beach on bright sunny days. But if you are looking for an "all around" primary "point and shoot" camera STAY AWAY from this one.

"Not what I want, but great for what I'm willing to pay." 2009-07-04
By Greg Coffman (San Antonio, TX)
I've been using mine for almost a year now. What I want is a waterproof SLR, but I'm not willing to pay the price for that. This isn't it, but it's a fine camera. The more I learn about using the camera, the better it gets. I keep it clipped to my PFD when kayaking and it performs admirably. The battery seems to run out at inconvenient times, but that is user error, no the fault of the camera. I recently took pictures at the Grand Canyon in the rain.

 "Camera won't stay on" 2009-07-03
By Michael R. Lebaron (North Carolina)
I've had the Optio W60 for about 3 months. On a recent trip the camera very suddenly would not stay powered on. I'd hit the power switch, the light comes on then immediately goes off. This is with a fully charged battery. If it stays on, hitting the zoom switch causes it to go off most of the time.

I've been pleased with the camera overall, but right now I'm waiting for a reply from Pentax on this problem.
